appears to be on the road to recovery following a stint in a rehabilitation facili, had received treatment for and drug-related issues.

Davidson, 29, has gone through a rough patch in his personal life in recent times that includes a public face-off with PETA over a puppy he bought for his mother, as well as legal ramifications of his car accident where he rammed into a Beverly Hills home earlier in the year.

Back on the road: It appears Pete Davidson, 29, has taken huge strides on the mental health front by scheduling two new stand up comedy shows in Florida this week following his latest stint in a rehabilitation facility in Pennsylvania

‘Pete regularly goes to rehab for “tune ups” and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening,’ a friend told  back in late June, when explaining his motivation for checking himself into the rehab.

As a result of his in-patient stay for treatment, the Staten Island, New York native had to cancel a series of shows that were scheduled for July.

A close source added, ‘Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it.’

That insider maintains Davidson ‘has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him.’

But now it appears he’s feeling well enough, at this point, to get back to performing on stage in front of an audience.

These new stand up dates, in the wake of his mental health break, are reportedly part of his process to work out new material, which is common before comedians head out on a full-fledge tour and do a television special.

The former Saturday Night Live cast member has had a lot on his plate in recent years, juggling his stand up career with TV sponsorships and series of new acting roles, all while starting up a new romance with girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders.

Among his new movies shoots in 2023 and beyond: Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts, cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 and Fast X, and the upcoming releases of Dumb Money, The Home and Wizards!

Back at it: The former SNL cast member has two new shows booked for Tuesday at the Improv in Dania, Florida, which is in the Fort Lauderdale area

Hectic: The comedian and actor had gone through a rough patch in his personal life, included the scary car crash in Beverly Hills, while  maintaining a busy schedule shooting commercials, several movies, and starting a new romance with Chase Sui Wonders, 27

He also just sorted out his legal issues related to that scary crash in Beverly Hills, resulting in him being charged with one misdemeanor count of reckless driving.

Police say Davidson was behind the wheel of a Mercedes, with Wonders in the passenger seat, back in March when he lost control of the car, hopped the curb, took out a fire hydrant, and then smashed into the side of a house.

Investigators didn’t suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident so he wasn’t arrested.

A judge order that he complete a diversion program, requiring him to do 50 hours of community service, which would expunge the incident from his record if he follows through with the mandates.

Then there’s that incident with PETA over a puppy he had recently bought for his mother, resulting in him offering an apology for his actions.

The organization’s Senior VP of Cruelty Investigations, Daphna Nachminovitc, publicly criticized Davidson’s decision to buy the puppy from a pet store rather than adopting from a shelter.

More drama: Davidson apologized after leaving an unhinged voicemail to PETA, where he screamed ‘f*** you, suck my d***” after the organization criticized him for buying a puppy from a pet store instead of adopting from an animal shelter; the comedian claimed he had to get a specific breed because he is ‘severely allergic to dogs’

In response, The King of Staten Island star left her a phone message, where he explained how he’s severely allergic to most other dog breeds, but then told Nachminovitc, ‘F**k you, and suck my d**k.”

Ultimately, Davidson offered an apology for his foul-mouthed voicemail rant.

The funnyman has had several stints in rehabilitation facilities over the years, including one in 2017 and another in 2019, when he went to the Sierra Tucson treatment center in Tucson, Arizona.

And in late 2018, He also had family, friends, and even fans worried when he shared suicidal thoughts online, which resulted in the New York Police Department to do a wellness check on him.

At this point, Davison has not gone public to announce whether he will be booking more stand up shows in the near future.
